Serious competition could not outshine Lisa in the Senior Women’s K1 200m. Quick out of the blocks, she was lead all the way, finishing in 40.556sec, just 0.495sec off her World Championship time (40.06sec) despite a mild headwind.
Marta Walczykicz was right on her tail, with fire in her eyes, finishing just 0.664 behind Lisa – it was enough to make any kiwi spectator nervous!
The win is Lisa's 13th consecutive major title, which bodes well for the upcoming Rio Olympics.

Lisa completely dominated her K1 500m Heat, racing ahead to win in 02:00.348 sec. No doubt spurred by second placing in Duisburg, Lisa looked focused and unstoppable, beating her nearest rival, Ana Lehaci of Austria, by almost 2 seconds. Third was Jennifer Egan of Ireland.
